Amey Wye Valley

Amey Wye Valley

In September 2003, a Joint Venture (JV) company was formed to provide a large range of services to Herefordshire's communities. The areas covered include highways maintenance, street cleaning, toilet cleaning, building maintenance, building cleaning, grounds maintenance, printing, courier and event catering.

The JV company was called Herefordshire Jarvis Services, but in September 2007 Amey purchased Jarvis's shares and the company became Amey Wye Valley.

The ten year contract will run until August 2013 and is concurrent with the service delivery arrangements for technical consultancy work with Owen Williams.

Owen Williams part of Amey plc

Owen Williams part of Amey plc

In September 2003, Owen Williams was commissioned to provide a large range of technical consultancy services to Herefordshire's communities. The areas covered include policy development, highways design, building design, transportation studies, traffic management, ground investigation, materials testing and environmental services.

In February 2006, Amey purchased Owen Williams and the name has now been changed to reflect the increased resources available through the new parent company.

The ten year contract will run until August 2013 and is concurrent with the service delivery arrangements for contracted services with Amey Wye Valley.

Herefordshire Housing Ltd

Herefordshire Housing is a not-for-profit Registered Social Landlord, which provides affordable homes throughout Herefordshire. All of its income and any profits made must (as part of its constitution), be ploughed back into housing services.

Herefordshire Housing took over the running of Herefordshire Council's housing stock on 26th November 2002 after a Large Scale Voluntary Transfer (LSVT). It has since adopted Charitable Status.
